Software way : Goldwave, wavepad (www.nch.com.au) Hardware way : amplifier that costs about Rs.250/- or install an extra sound card (some recommend Yamaha sound card).

Hi Likhita,
Thought you would like to know that I installed Yamaha PCI 3D (Intex) sound card, exact cost I have forgotten, I guess within 300/- about six months ago. I too had recommended Goldwave in this forum, but then got to hear about this sound card, which is really, really good. One other forum member had approached me in this regard and after my advise, installed it. She was pretty thrilled with it, as she is doing work in which the audio was somewhat poorly. The best part of this Yamaha is that it enhances the volume without losing originality, i.e., there is no added distortion or loss on sound quality. It remains same throughout. You can purchase it and have it installed by anyone familar with computers.
I am using it now and it works like a dream in my computer, which is a PIV.
Hope this suffices.
Regards. |

what Medictrans said is right Yamaha sound card is better or use amplifier. Amplifier is better, if it is prepared especially for MT. If you want, I will give number who are providing.

Hi,
You can simply add speakers with headphone socket infront to enhance sound. I am using it. It costs 150-180/-

Saanvi, you just lost a customer. I am India based. I wanted to get a few dictaphones to install in my clients' clinics in the US when I go there in this May. What is your problem - to give that offensive message?

Hi Likhita,
Coming back to the subject of this thread. Long term, IHMO an external amplifier is a permanent solution to this. Additionally, I think you must've got one of the older versions of express scribe that you used and did not like. Try v4.10. It has some good features for low-volume files like backgound noise reduction, extra volume boost, and high pass filter, which actually work. Let me know if you have difficulty getting ES 4.10. It was not on their main server when I visited last.

Hi saanvi123,
Do you really deal in amplifiers and other equipment like you said? I doubt so.....coz if you would, u'd not offend any member in the forum, especially a potential client. This way, your business is headed the other way mate. Logof is a regular here. There was nothing he asked to get you tripped and lose business.

| Just want to share with the forum my experience in dealing with Saanvi123. I had ordered a footpedal and sound booster from him (he is based in Jaipur, me in Mumbai). I am unhappy with the products as well as the service. More than 2 months after placing the order, I am still unable to make use of any of the above two products ordered by me. |

Hi crab, what really is the problem with the sound booster? They are usually failsafe. They don't need much of installation too - unlike foot pedals. You put a jack in the computer and connect your headphones to the booster, power on and you are ON. Is the sound quality not good or what?

Dear xyz,
The forum is misused by some persons, if somebody is not interested in procuring any product on our end, what is the need for logoff to give suggestions whether I possess dictaphones or not. This is not a fun forum. As far as my business is concerned, i will head the way i like.
