All looks and sounds so glamorous and lovely on paper, but do you: 1) Have enough work to keep one employed for the day (6-7 hours minimum)? 2) Have a "finger-free" work ethics and environment - the one that is FREE of favoritism and partiality and excessive interference in the name of "Team Work" - like allocating easy dictation to most favored (friends, relatives, same mother tongue or cast or religion) or useless of the lot, forcing the talented ones to do ONLY difficult dictation? 3) Set of people in the management who know Medical Transcription in and out (and not from consumer products companies) REGULARLY address such malpractice in a positive way so as to encourage attract, train, and retain the best? 4) Have proper and ethical work hours and comp offs/holidays/off days so as that the employee arrives and leaves in time the next day and does not have to invent excuses for absenteeism? 5) Pay salaries and incentives in proper time and as promised/offered so the employee is encouraged to stay with the company instead of looking elsewhere in short period of joining? 6) Have proper orientation, training, refresher training, and evaluation system in place so people keep away from doing same basic mistakes for an account they have been handling for ages? 7) Keep hiring anyone on the road expecting them to produce super-quantity lines overnight and expecting the QA to magically turn these shoddy jobs into super-quality lines in record time?
Happy headhunting!
